Skimmed milk and cereal This breakfast item is a good choice for late night snacking too. Wheat or bran flakes, museli or even your good old oats, they all make for healthy alternative to late night snacking when combined with skimmed milk or low fat yogurt.
Peanut butter and brown bread Peanut butter is rich in good fats. Smear it on a whole wheat or brown bread and it will squash your hunger when the mood strikes. An alternative to peanut butter, you can even try whipping a low calorie almond butter at home.
Banana Clearly one of the most misunderstood fruits, banana is actually good for your health. You can even freeze your banana, blend it with some peanut butter and you are good to go!
Boiled eggs If you love eggs, boil some, add lemon and coriander for perfect midnight snacking.
Cottage cheese Yes, you read it right. Cottage cheese contains a good amount of protein. A half cup had 102 calories and only 2 grams fat. Add chat masala or mix it with fruits.
A handful of almonds If the hunger pang is not too much to handle, a handful of almonds should do the trick.
Water Maybe we should have added this on top, but try having water to rule out if you are really hungry or simply thirsty.
