Benefits of Sheera in winter

The nip in the air during winters often results in cough and cold. And that's when the magic of Besan ka Sheera helps. In Ayurveda, Besan ka Sheera is considered a warm, nourishing remedy that helps balance Vata and Kapha doshas. The goodness of roasted besan, ghee, warm milk, and spices like turmeric, black pepper, and cardamom creates an ideal ushna (warming) drink that supports digestion, immunity, and respiratory health. As per Ayurveda, the use of ghee helps lubricate the throat, soothe irritation, and reduce dryness, while turmeric and black pepper act as natural anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial agents. And then the use of milk provides grounding and comfort, making the sheera a good option during colds, mild cough, or fatigue. Here's the simple recipe one can try at home.
