From the Dalgona coffee to frozen honey and cucumber salad, TikTokers have consistently introduced us to creative food trends. Its latest star is the ‘dry yogurt’. Youngsters are obsessed with dry yogurt, and it has become a staple in the breakfast menu of millennials and Gen-Zs. You will find thousands of recipes on how to eat ‘dry yogurt’ for breakfast as well as snacks.
Dry yogurt is similar to the Labneh, frequently used in Mediterranean cuisine. Labneh is made from fermented milk strained for several hours to remove all the moisture. This strained yogurt has a whipped cream cheese consistency and is a delicacy common to people of Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan, and Israel.
You can have the dry yogurt as a spread. People also like to spread the yogurt on a baking sheet and add toppings such as fruits, nuts, or granola, and either freeze or bake it. How to make dry yogurt?

Sprinkle a pinch of salt into the Greek yogurt. Place it to a strainer lined with a cheesecloth, over a large bowl. Fold the cloth tightly, and place a lightweight over it. Refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours or longer. Remove the cheesecloth and viola you have your dry yogurt! You can add food coloring if required to make it in different colors.
