Benefits of eating wheat flour and chickpea

According to experts, non-processed wheat flour is rich in protein and according to a post by Tarla Dalal’s website, eating 8 rotis a day can help gain 23 percent of your daily protein requirement. Wheat flour is also rich in fibre and is a good source of healthy carbs and fats, which keeps you full for a longer period and hence contributes to weight loss. It has been proven that chickpeas are rich in protein and fibre, and they together aid weight loss. While fibre keeps you full for longer, protein helps satiate hunger. According to a study published in the journal Appetite, regular consumption of chickpeas helps in keeping weight loss plan on track. (Image: istock)
