The holiday season is nearing and with the start of winter, Thanksgiving this year is celebrated on November 28. While turkey remains the centerpiece of the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, there is one special dish that could prove to be a hit at your thanksgiving dinner.

The cranberry curd tart is a very special dessert because it is a combination of smooth and luscious ingredients, The cranberry curd tart taste is balanced out with the sweetness of the curd and the ripe tartness of cranberries.

Step 1 - Make the crust


To make the tart, combine 1 cup refined flour, 1/2 sugar, 1 tsp salt and a few cold butter cubes in a food processor and pulse it until it makes coarse crumbs. Now, slowly add water to the mixture - 1 tsp at a time until the ingredient binds together. Rest the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes after it's carefully packed.


Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 175 degrees celsius. Now, roll out the chilled dough and the surface of the tart should be equally distributed and following that it can be baked for 15 minutes



Step 2 - Prepare the cranberry pie


In a pan combine cranberries and sugar and can add any taste elements like orange juice or zest and leave it to boil for about 10 minutes until the fruit softens. Using the mesh, drain out the freshly prepared cranberry sauce and use this lump free mixture to mix it with eggs and egg yolks, cranberry juice and whisking them constantly until the cranberry juice thickens. It is not required to boil the cranberry mixture.


Step - 3


Cranberry curd or yogurt is an important part of the recipe and it needs to be pressed down evenly to the tart crust. Now on top, it can be added with the cranberry mixture that was made. Refrigerate the tart to rest for 2 hours until it's finally set.
