The long weekend is almost over and the guilt of overeating must have already taken over your senses; Especially if you are someone who loves to eat fried snacks, sugary sweets or rich curries, but is scared of weight gain. Then we have curated some simple recipes that make for a perfect detox meal to fix occasional overeating and help manage weight. So, note down these simple recipes and switch to detox mode.

​Berry Curd Bowl


To begin with a simple detox meal, take 1/2 cup mixed berries, 1 cup curd, 1 cup soaked oats, chia seeds and honey. In a blender, make a thick blend of the ingredients and garnish with chia seeds. The cooling and probiotic elements in curd mixed with the goodness of antioxidant rich berries, helps in inducing healthy nutrients and fiber, which helps in better weight management.

​Fruit Punch


To make this easy detox recipes, take 1 cup of apples, kiwi, and strawberries, assemble them in a bowl. Take another bowl and add 2 tbsp lime juice, 3 tbsp orange juice, 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 tsp honey, whisk and pour the dressing over the salad. Toss it well and enjoy it cold.

​Curd Rice


This healthy bowl needs no introduction, a perfect meal to detox festive overeating. Take a bowl of curd and mix it with 1 bowl of cooked rice. Take a pan and add ghee, once the ghee is hot enough, add in the red chilies, salt as per taste, curry leaves, garlic, mustard seeds. Once the tempering is ready, pour it over the curd rice and garnish with pomegranate seeds. Enjoy.

​Quinoa bowl


To make this protein and fiber rich meal, take ½ cup cooked quinoa, 1 chopped onions, 3 garlic cloves minced, whole red chilies, 1 cup blanched spinach leaves. Take a pan, add some olive oil, ginger minced, onions and red chilies, cook the mix and add quinoa. Add salt, pepper and some lime juice and enjoy.

​Beetroot Cold Soup


To make this simple detox meal, take 1 medium beetroot, 1/2 cup soaked poha, 3 cup water and blend it along with 2 garlic, 1inch ginger, lemon juice and black pepper. Next, take a small pan and add in olive oil, curry leaves, red chilies, garlic and mustard seeds. Pour this over the blend and enjoy.
