Mango worth INR 25 crore sold online

India's mango season is in full swing, and the frenzy surrounding this beloved fruit has reached new heights. With busy individuals turning to online stores, Zepto, a popular grocery delivery app, has witnessed an astounding Rs 25 crore worth of mango orders in April alone. The demand has been so overwhelming that on a single day, Zepto received orders worth Rs 60 lakh. This mango mania shows no signs of stopping, as May is expected to surpass April's results. The top mango variant

Among the various mango variants, Alphonso emerged as the most sought-after, capturing 30% of total mango sales on Zepto. Hailing from Ratnagiri, Alphonso mangoes have enamoured mango lovers in bustling cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi. Following closely behind, Bainganpalli from Andhra Pradesh claimed 25% of the total sales, garnering popularity in southern cities. Kesar mangoes, on the other hand, hold a special place in the hearts of mango aficionados.

What does Zepto have to say?

Zepto prides itself on sourcing mangoes from over 1,000 talented farmers across India. With Ratnagiri and Devgad as the top sources for Alphonso, and Jalna & Junagarh for Kesar, the app ensures the finest, naturally ripened mangoes free from harmful carbides are delivered to customers' doorsteps. Each variety even comes with a certification on the app, guaranteeing quality and transparency. From whipping up delectable achaar (pickle) to enjoying a refreshing glass of Kairi Panna (Raw Mango juice), the demand for mangoes continues to skyrocket, making it a truly cherished fruit during this season of indulgence.
