​Soaked walnuts for diabetes

According to experts, consuming soaked walnuts every day can help in the management of type 2 diabetes. They are rich in fibre and are known to reduce the release of blood sugar into the body, which reduces the chances of a sudden spike in sugar levels that can be harmful. Also, soaked walnuts have a low glycemic index of only 15, which makes them a healthy midday snack for diabetics. Apart from all this, walnuts are also rich in healthy fats such as omega-3 fatty acids that help reduce cholesterol levels and keep the heart healthy. It is said in this article that walnuts help to build insulin resistance to manage diabetes mellitus. It should have been that Walnuts reduce the insulin resistance which would enable the body to utilise the insulin efficiently and thus improves the management of Diabetes Mellitus
