This Robo-waiter has won over people with its service

Robotics seems to be the future of the hospitality industry and while we recently did a story on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the whole scenario, this new restaurant in Noida has made it a reality. Well, The Yellow House - Robot restaurant based in sector 104 Noida is using robots to serve food to its customers. The restaurant has taken the social distancing rule quite seriously and is using these robo-waiters to win over their customer. (Images courtesy: Instagram/@mayankbigdelhifoodie)

The robot-waiters

There are two yellow coloured robots named ‘Ruby’ serving in this restaurant and have been made using AI technology and work all day with the charging of just 2-3 hours. The customers can order their food normally at the counter, while these robots find their way to the predetermined routes to the designated table for their order. The restaurant

The Yellow House is a multi-cuisine restaurant with Indian, Chinese, Mexican and Italian food on offer. It was first opened in Jaipur and is a one-of it's a kind restaurant in India. It has 3 branches in Jaipur and now the fourth one is opened in Noida. Jitesh Anand, who is the owner of this restaurant talked to a leading daily and said that “These robots work on artificial intelligence. Data from each table is fed into each robot. As soon as the table number is entered on a phone or a tablet, the robots go up to the table and serve the food.”

Conclusion

It all sounds so cool that we don’t have to wait longer for the food. But, will this new AI technology make the hospitality industry happier or not, that is something we will see in the near future.
