Easiest Mushroom and Soya Kebab

During the holy month of Ramadan, the ritual of Iftar holds an important place. It is that time of the day when people break fast with a lavish spread of delicacies. If you are a vegetarian and looking for a nutrient-rich dish for Iftar meal, then try this Mushroom and Soya Kebab. Scroll down to read the recipe.

Ingredients


1 cup mushrooms, 1/2 cup soya granules, 1 small onion, 1–2 green chillies, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 2 tbsp boiled mashed potato, 2 tbsp roasted besan, ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp chaat masala, walt to taste, fresh coriander leaves, and oil for shallow frying

First of all, wash and finely chop button mushrooms.

Also, soak soya granules in hot salted water for 10 minutes. Squeeze out excess water completely.

Next, sauté mushrooms in a pan until they release moisture and turn dry. Once done, let them cool down slightly.

In a bowl, mix mushrooms, squeezed soya, onion, chillies, ginger-garlic paste, mashed potato, spices, coriander, and roasted besan.

Shape the mixture into small tikkis and let them rest for 10 minutes.

Now, shallow fry the kebabs in a non-stick pan with ghee or oil.

Once done, serve hot with mint coriander chutney and onion rings.
