What is CPA?

CPA refers to cucumber, pudina (mint), and amla. To make this concoction, you need 1 cucumber, 6-8 mint leaves, and 1 amla. Chop them and blend well using 1 cup (0.24 l) of water. You may add a pinch of salt and pepper to enhance the taste and enjoy it fresh.

Benefits of Cucumber, Pudina, and Amla

The soluble fiber (pectin) in cucumbers helps reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) by binding to cholesterol and removing it from the body. Additionally, cucumbers contain sterols, which may help lower cholesterol absorption. It is also packed with antioxidants and vitamins C & K that help soothe skin, reduce puffiness, and improve complexion. And as per experts, cucumbers are low in carbohydrates and high in fiber, making them a great food for regulating blood sugar levels. It is said that soluble fiber in cucumbers slows down digestion and prevents sudden blood sugar spikes. It contains vitamin C and caffeic acid, which help lighten dark spots, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. Cucumber has natural astringent properties that tighten pores, reduce excess oil, and prevent breakouts. As far as mint leaves are concerned, they contain antioxidants and essential oils that help lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and support heart health by improving blood circulation and reducing inflammation. And the rich amount of vitamin C and antibacterial properties of mint helps clear acne, soothe irritation, and brighten the skin. Mint is also said to regulate blood sugar levels by improving digestion and reducing oxidative stress. Amla, also known as Indian gooseberry, is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, which help reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides while boosting HDL (good cholesterol), supporting heart health. And when it comes to uric acid, amla’s anti-inflammatory properties and vitamin C help flush out excess uric acid, preventing joint pain and gout. And its diuretic effect aids in kidney function and detoxification. And as per the National Library of Medicine's study titled Effect of Amla Fruit (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) on Blood Glucose and Lipid Profile of Normal Subjects and Type 2 Diabetic Patients, amla helps regulate blood sugar levels by improving insulin sensitivity and reducing oxidative stress, making it beneficial for managing type 2 diabetes. Also, amla helps control diabetes by improving insulin sensitivity. It also prevents sugar spikes by slowing carbohydrate absorption.

Ginger, which is rich in compounds called gingerol and shogaol, helps lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides while improving HDL (good cholesterol). It also reduces oxidative stress, promoting heart health. And the anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties of ginger help flush out excessive uric acid, reducing joint pain and inflammation caused by gout. And as per Shilpa's post, ginger improves insulin sensitivity, lowers blood sugar levels, and reduces complications by decreasing oxidative stress and inflammation. Amla, which is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, helps reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides while boosting HDL (good cholesterol), supporting heart health. And its diuretic effect aids in kidney function and detoxification. Turmeric, which is rich in curcumin, the active compound, helps lower LDL (bad cholesterol) and prevents plaque buildup in arteries, promoting heart health.
