​Celebrate the Parsi New year with these easy recipes


It’s that time of the year when festivity is in the air and with Navroz around the corner, the preparations are in full swing. Navroz also known as Nowruz is the Parsi New year celebrated as per the Zoroastrian calendar. This year Navroz falls on 21th March 2022, the festival of Navroz marks the first day of Farvardin (first month of the year). On this day Parsis worship and celebrate the day with their loved ones and prepare a sumptuous feast. Here are some classic delicacies prepared to celebrate the Parsi New year 2022.

​Sali boti


Made with tender mutton pieces cooked in aromatic spices and a melange of f juicy tomatoes, onions, jaggery, it is impossible to imagine a Parsi festive feast without Sali Boti. Serve with potato fries, wedges, this succulent mutton dish is an inseparable part of Parsi celebrations.

​Parsi mutton curry


Spicy, tangy and sumptuous, this classic Parsi mutton curry can be relished with breads, rice or pulao. This delicious curry is a mix of flavours and ingredients like tamarind extracts, chilies, ginger powder, nuts, coconut water and coriander leaves, which gives this mutton curry a luscious taste and aroma.
