Man orders Paneer Tikka Sandwich and shocked by what he finds inside
Sandwich makes for a healthy breakfast and evening snack that goes well with chai, coffee, and even juice. But, what if this protein-rich dish becomes the cause of food poisoning? Yes, you read it right. Scroll down to find the details.
As per reports, a customer recognised as Ravi Bedi found a dead cockroach in the Paneer Tikka Sandwich he ordered at Sagar Gaire Restaurant of Ujjain.
As soon as he found the cockroach, he rushed to the food department of the city and filed a complaint. And later the officials raided the restaurant and seized the sandwich.
In a news report Ravi mentioned that the restaurant is known for selling unhygienic food and people have complained in the past about it too.
This is not the first time that a dead cockroach has been found in food. In another incident recently, a task force of the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana, inspected two popular restaurants of the region. During the inspection by the task force team of the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana at The Fort, Rajendranagar on Feb 8, they found exhaust fans to be greasy and dripping oil. Refrigerators were found to be very unhygienic and identified stored boiled vegetables in large quantities without any labels. Also, utensils were not cleaned properly. Kitchen floor was found to be wet and with improper drainage. Most importantly, cockroach infestation was found in the premises. And, the pest control records were not available. Additionally, food waste was not being removed on a regular basis.
Also, as per the X post by Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana, the inspection at Delish by Homes Kitchen, Rajendranaga on Feb, 8, resulted in the following findings. As per the post, food waste was not removed at regular intervals. Also, exhaust fans were found to be greasy and dripping oil. And medical fitness certificates of food handlers and pest control records were not available. Additionally, several unlabelled raw materials such as pav were found in the kitchen.
