This Australian mom’s pantry rules are being loved by netizens!

The coronavirus COVID-19 is a novel virus that has been spreading fast across nations worldwide. In a bid to stop the human-to-human transmission of the disease, people are self-isolating and nations are in a strict lockdown. Besides maintaining hygiene and sanitation, the fear and anxiety of the future has lead people to panic buying and stocking up on necessary food and sustenance items. To make sure that the food is enough for everyone in the house, a mom has made a set of pantry rules which she dubbed as, "New Pantry Rules For Coronavirusgedden". The picture has been trending on Facebook as it was uploaded on an Australian group for mothers, 'Mum's Central'.

Strict 'pantry rules' are necessary?

Due to the lockdown and obvious fear of transmitting the virus, people have been advised to stay at home and only go out if it is extremely necessary. People are stocking up on food to make sure that they have enough food to last a long time, though if you have children, you might want to put up some strict pantry rules as this mother did. She uploaded a picture of her 'pantry rules' on the Facebook group called 'Mum's Central'. This is to ensure that her children or any other member of the family do not overeat or indulge in excessive junk eating. (Image: Facebook/MumCentralIAU)

These rules are not made to be broken

Taped to the inside of the cupboard, this list has only four rules which are meant to be followed strictly. The first rule states, "Nobody goes in the pantry for food or snacks without ASKING first. No willy nilly pantry visits allowed!" The second rule talks about wastage, "Do not open a new box of cereal until the old, opened boxes are eaten and gone." The third one is about nutrition, "You better have eaten a piece of fruit, a vegetable or yogurt before you reach for anything in here."

The rule netizens applauded the most

While all the other rules have talked about important things like nutrition, wastage and asking permission before eating anything, the last one takes the cake. Most netizens loved the last rule which said, "If anyone touches or eats my CADBURY EGGS, you're going to wish you had Coronavirus and died." After reading this list, no one is going to steal the Cadbury eggs, that's for sure. While everyone is loving the rules, you might want to keep an eye on your pantry and even come up with your own set of rules while we all wait for this pandemic to end.
