Pyaz Paratha Recipe

This one makes for a healthy and filling breakfast delight made with chopped onions and spices. Here's the simplest recipe that one can make at home and enjoy with curd and pickle. Scroll down to read the recipe.

Ingredients


2 cups whole wheat flour, salt to taste, water, 1 tsp oil, 2 large onions, 2 green chillies, 1 tsp grated ginger, 2 tbsp fresh coriander, ½ tsp ajwain, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp garam masala, salt to taste, 1 tsp oil or ghee, and oil or ghee for cooking

Step 1


To begin with, mix flour and salt in a mixing bowl and add water gradually to knead into a soft dough. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.

For the stuffing, mix chopped onions, green chillies, ginger, coriander, ajwain, chilli powder, garam masala, salt, and oil in a mixing bowl.

Step 3


Next, divide the dough into equal balls and stuff each ball with the stuffing and seal the ball.

Roll out parathas using a rolling pin and flour dust.

Heat a pan or a tawa and cook the paratha until bubbles appear. Flip, apply ghee or oil, and cook until crisp and golden.

Serve hot with curd and pickle on the side. Enjoy!
