Easy Rajma and Soya Kebab Recipe

Are you a vegetarian and looking for a protein-rich kebab recipe? If yes, then try this protein-rich Rajma and Soya Kebab for snacking. It can be easily made at home and calls for minimum ingredients as well. For the unversed, rajma is rich in plant-based protein, which supports muscle repair and makes an excellent protein source for vegetarians. It is also rich in fibre, which aids digestion, promotes gut health and helps in maintaining steady blood sugar levels. Scroll down to read the recipe.

Ingredients


1 cup rajma, ½ cup soya chunks, 1 small onion, 2 tbsp breadcrumbs, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 green chilli, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp red chilli powder, salt to taste, 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, 1 tsp lemon juice, and oil for shallow frying

Step 1


First of all soak rajma beans overnight, and then pressure cook for 3 whistles.

In the meantime, boil 2 cups of water and add soya chunks and boil for 5 minutes.

Mash the boiled rajma and minch soya chunks finely.

Add them to a mixing bowl and add chopped onion, breadcrumbs, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, spices, salt, coriander and lemon juice.

Combine well and shape the mixture into kebabs.

Heat a tawa with a little oil and shallow fry the kebabs on medium heat until golden and crisp on both sides.

Serve hot with mint chutney, onion rings, lemon wedges, and a pinch of chaat masala on the side.
