Green Moong Dosa Recipe
Protein-rich Green Moong Dosa, also known as Pesarattu, is a traditional Andhra Pradesh breakfast made from whole green moong dal, which is first soaked and the blended into a smooth paste. It’s protein-rich, naturally gluten-free, and doesn’t require fermentation and makes for a wholesome start to the day. Scroll down to rad the recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup whole green moong dal, 2 tbsp rice, 1–2 green chillies, 1 inch ginger, salt to taste, water as needed, and oil for cooking
Step 1
First of all, wash and soak green moong dal and rice for 6–8 hours or overnight.
Step 2
Next morning, drain the soaked water and wash them again. Next, grind them with green chillies, ginger, salt, and water into a smooth batter.
Step 3
Now, let the batter rest for 10 minutes and in the meantime, heat a tawa and lightly grease it with some oil.
Step 4
Using a ladle, pour the batter and spread it to form a thin dosa. Drizzle some oil and let it cook.
Step 5
Cook it on a low flame and until it turns golden on both the sides.
Step 6
Your Andhra-Style protein-rich Green Moong Dosa is ready, serve it with coconut chutney and samba and enjoy!
