Air Fryer and Indian Kitchen

Indian food and oil go hand in hand. The weekend munching is incomplete for us without deep fried pakodas and cutlets that are high in calories, and seeped in oil. We cannot imagine our festivals without deep fried Dahi Bhallas, Gulab Jamuns, Kadhi Pakoras, Samosas and Namkeens. But sadly, this is taking a toll on our health, especially in a sedentary lifestyle and a 9-hour desk job. But the Air Fryer promises to keep that Indian traditional kitchen going, without the oil. Here’s how.

Air Fryer: The solution

As a solution that also offers the guilt-free way of enjoying fried foods, Kent, an Indian healthcare products company has introduced a smart and easy way in the form of ‘Hot Air Fryer’. The idea behind this new variation of cooking appliance is to promote healthy eating habits and decrease the use of cooking oil that is playing havoc with our health.Sanya Sinha, a wellness expert and nutritionist who is also a loyal user of Kent products for 5 years says, “I have been using their water and air purifier, and now the Hot Air Fryer. As a satisfied customer who is very particular about her family’s health, I have found that food cooked in their air fryer is low in fat, calories and most importantly promotes weight loss. I have been using it for a while and can feel the difference, as the food is very light on the stomach.”

What nutritionists say?

According to nutritionists, deep fryers use up to 50 times more oil than air fryers. Kent is known for its user-friendly household products and kitchenware and the Kent Hot Air Fryer is the latest addition to the chain of products that cut down fat content by 80 percent by using no or minimum oil, without compromising on taste. The Kent hot air fryer also cuts down all sorts of chemical reactions and keeps the nutritional content intact with the help of rapid hot air technology, which uses ‘uniform cooking’ and gives the dish that perfect taste and texture we so relish. The technology makes the food crispy outside and retains the freshness, natural juices and nutrition within.

Air Fryer's specifications

This Hot Air Fryer has a cooking chamber of 1.4 litres and maintains up to 200 degree Celsius temperature, making it easy to cook in a jiffy. And If you think it will jack up your electricity bill, the brand claims that the elegant looking machine consumes only 1350 watt power.

The final aim

With the aim of creating a non-messy air fryer that makes cooking not only healthy but also easy, Kent has introduced the concept of ‘Pre-set Menu’, where you can make French Fries, Peanuts, Chicken, Fish, Samosa and many more fried dishes at a single touch. These specifications are made keeping the nature, texture and taste of the dishe in mind. The Air Fryer itself looks chic with the menu in the upper-half of the machine with an LED display and touch panel.Experts consider this a smart and sensible move as such features make the machine easy to use for people of all age groups and have longer life than the conventional ones.
