Gold-dusted chocos, tartare: Oscar after-party platter
The much awaited 96th Academy Awards, which took place recently, saw some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry come together to celebrate cinema. For the last 65 years, the biggest after-party of the event is known as the Governor’s Ball. Catering to the industry’s biggest players, it’s known not just for its luxury, but also its outstanding array of foods coordinated by chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck, who has been in charge of the catering of this ball for 30 years. It included an Oscar statuette you can have and eat it too! Chef Wolfgang created 5,000 of these 24K gold-dusted choco Oscars.
An awe-inspiring dessert spread
There was an awe-inspiring dessert spread that included Oreos filled with dulce de leche and hazelnut, Oscar pops, and 24-karat gold-dusted chocolate Oscars, and Grand Marnier-infused chocolate cigars among many others. The chocolate cigars with ashes were high on the visual finish.
Oscar snack box
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the boxes contained Shappy Pretzel, Mike & Ike’s candy, Open Water, and a note from the host that read, “To keep the karma flowing, we made donations on your behalf to St. Joseph Center.” Comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who hosted the Oscars 2024, continued the ‘snack box tradition’. The snack box was kept under the seats for the attendees.
