With the change in season, several health issues crop up that lead to bloating and a weakened immune system. It is important to stick to a healthy diet to stay fit and keep seasonal ailments at bay. Fibre-rich foods

Digestion gets a little sluggish, so stick to high-fibre foods like corn, chickpeas and oats.

Eating easily digestible veggies and spices

One can consume a lot of easily digestible vegetables like karela (bitter gourd) and snake gourd in this season. And make sure that you include more of digestive spices like ajwain, saunf and cumin seeds (jeera) in the diet.

Include sabja seeds in the diet

Spicy food promotes water retention and bloating, which is as it is extremely common during this season. Sabja seeds also known as falooda seeds and basil seeds are a must add in your daily diet as they help cut both cravings and bloating.

Importance of turmeric

To keep inflammation low, one can use turmeric liberally. Have Haldi Doodh (warm milk and turmeric) at night and add Haldi in good quantity when making the tadka.

Drink green tea daily

Have green tea every day. You can make a cup of green tea with lemon and honey, which makes it an anti-oxidant-rich green tea with added Vitamin C. We all know that Vitamin C helps to support the immune system.

De-bloating smoothie recipe

Here is a smoothie that can take your bloating issues away magically. To make it, take a bowl and add 1 tbsp sabja seeds in it. Add enough water and let them soak for 2 hours. They will swell up during this tie duration. Now, blend 2 cups of papaya with a pinch of cardamom powder and transfer in a glass. Top it up with soaked sabja seeds, 1/2 tsp lime juice and a pinch of salt. Stir well all the ingredients and drink it up. You will feel the difference within a few minutes of drinking this amazing concoction.
