Dussehra or Vijayadashami is here and the festival mainly marks the triumph of Lord Rama over Ravana in the ancient Indian epic The Ramayana. It is also known as Vijayadashami, the tenth day of Durga Puja, celebrated as a victory of Goddess Durga over the unconquerable demon Mahisasura. The festival is celebrated across the country with much pomp and show and people step out to seek blessings of the Goddess at puja pandalas and enjoy the aroma of street foods of India.
