New Year Eve Party Snacks

On Tuesday, due to a sudden spike in Coronavirus cases, the Delhi government issued a Yellow Alert in the national capital and also issued a list of guidelines. As per the guideline, restaurants and bars will be permitted to open with 50- percent seating capacity and will be closed by 10 pm. So, if you are planning to enjoy New Year's Eve at home, we have got some really easy party snacks that are very basic and simple to make at home. Roasted Sweet Potato Chaat

Boil and smoke 4 sweet potatoes, place in a plate, add 4 tbsp curd, ½ tsp chaat masala, ½ tsp black salt, salt to taste, 2 tsp coriander leaves, and some lemon juice. Your fresh chaat is ready. (Image: istock)

​Cheesy Nachos

Take a baking dish, add nachos, mozzarella cheese, 1 jalapeno, ½ capsicum, 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp chilli flakes and bake it for 3-5 mins. And your cheesy nachos are ready! (Image: istock)

​Masala Peanut

Dry roast 2 cups peanut in a frying pan or in a microwave for 3-5 mins. Allow them to cool down, remove the peel and add in a mixing bowl. Add 1 chopped onion, 2 green chilli, 1 chopped tomato, 2 tbsp lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste, 1 tbsp chaat masala, and 2 tbsp coriander leaves. ​Beetroot Kebab

Make the most of the winter season by making healthy kebabs with boiled beetroot, potato, and bread crumbs. All you need to do is mash 4 boiled beetroots along with 2 boiled potatoes, and add 6 tbsp bread crumb, 2 tbsp gram flour to it. Next, add salt, pepper to taste, 1 tsp garam masala, and 1//2 tsp coriander powder. Shape the mixture into small kebabs and pan fry with a little olive oil, till the kebabs turn crisp and golden brown. Serve hot with green chutney. (Image: istock)

​Bhel Puri

Simply mix 1 cup puffed rice, along with 4 tbsp roasted peanuts, 1 chopped onion, ½ tomato, lemon juice, 1 green chilli, salt and pepper to taste, sev, 1 tsp chaat masala and fresh coriander leaves. Mix it well and serve in a paper cone along with a garnish of sev. (Image: istock)

​Pizza

Shop pizza base, apply pizza sauce on them, add diced onion, mixed bell pepper, frozen corn, basil leaves, and a generous amount of mozzarella cheese. Place it on a greased tawa or bake in a microwave till cheese melts. Garnish with oregano and chilli flakes. Serve. (Image: istock)

​Fried Idli

You can simply shop for ready mix packets of idli batter from the store and use a steamer to make idli a night before. Allow them to cool down. Now, take a pan, add olive oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilli and allow them to splutter. Now, add 1 tsp turmeric powder and mix well. Add the diced idlis and mix well. Add salt, pepper, and chaat masala as per taste. Mix well, and pan fry till the outer layer of idlis turn crunchy. Serve hot with coconut or mint chutney along with drinks. (Image: istock)
