Importance of food on Akshay Tritiya
Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is observed on the third lunar day of the bright half of the Hindu month of Vaishakha. This year, it will be celebrated on April 19. The word “Akshaya” means “never diminishing,” symbolizing eternal prosperity.Traditionally, people invest in gold on this day, and offer prayers to the Hindu deities, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
