After Aryan Khan, Yuvraj Singh forays into alcohol industry, launches his new tequila brand

After Aryan Khan and his father Shah Rukh Khan's alcohol brand D'YAVOL, that features the brand's flagship whisky called D'YAVOL Inception, now Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has ventured into the alcohol industry, has launched his new luxury tequila brand 'Fino Tequila' in the US.

As per reports, cricket legend has launched FINO Tequila in the US, bringing an ultra-premium tequila experience to connoisseurs.

As per reports, crafted in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, FINO tequila champions the philosophy that "Failure Is not an option", a philosophy Yuvraj has lived by throughout his career. With an elite lineup of Blanco, Rosado, Añejo, and a limited-edition Extra Añejo, FINO is here to redefine luxury spirits.

It is reported that with a vision to blend traditional tequila-making with innovation, the brand is gearing up for its India launch in April 2025.

As per online media reports, it is currently available in top Chicago venues, including Michelin-starred Indienne, RPM Italian, Miru, and Tre Dita at The St. Regis, and will soon be available in India.

What is Tequila?
For the unversed, tequila is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from the blue agave plant, primarily produced in the region surrounding Tequila, Mexico. It is categorized into different types based on aging, which includes Blanco (Silver) – unaged or aged for a short period, Reposado – aged in oak barrels for 2-12 months and Añejo – aged for 1-3 years, Extra Añejo – aged for more than 3 years.

Tequila is an alcoholic beverage and when consumed in moderation can be considered as a healthy practice, as it is low in calories and has no added sugar. Also, traditionally, tequila is consumed after meals to aid digestion. It is also said that the agave plant contains prebiotics that help promote good gut bacteria. Agavins (natural sugars in agave) may help in insulin production, though tequila itself does not retain these properties after distillation. It is considered safe for those with gluten intolerance or celiac disease. And 100% agave tequila has fewer additives, leading to a lower risk of hangovers compared to mixed alcohols. However, excessive consumption can lead to dehydration, liver damage, and other health issues, so it's best to enjoy it responsibly.
