Must-try local dishes of Arunachal Pradesh

India is a land of flavours. From royal dishes to tribal flavours, we are blessed with delicacies that are healthy and full of nutrients too. One such state that offers the right blend of it is Arunachal Pradesh. Right from methods of cooking to local ingredients, this state uses everything indigenous and offers the best of experience. The dishes use very less spice, and they mostly use flavours from herbs, organic productions and bamboo shoots. If you are tempted by this brief, then you can relish the tribal flavours in Delhi too. This month ITDC The Ashok is organising a 3 day Arunachal food festival February 21 to February 23, 2020 in collaboration with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. According to Vijay Dutt, GM, “It is a great opportunity to present the most exquisite culinary and cultural traditions from the state that will help people understand the food and flavours correctly.” It is a joint effort by the government and the hotel to promote the lesser-known flavours and make people aware about the nuances of the dishes. According to Jitendra Narain, IAS , Principal Resident Commissioner , Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Delhi is the melting pot of various cultures from all over India, and giving Delhi a taste of Arunachalese food and culture is like treating the entire country.” Scroll below to know about these rare and flavourful dishes that define the vibrancy of state’s gastronomy.
