Easy homemade peanut butter recipes

Rich and creamy peanut butter, which simply melts in the mouth is loved by elders and kids alike. This yummy butter is not only delish but also loaded with protein. From being used as a bread spread, in cookie recipes and even as a standalone snack, just a scoop of peanut butter satisfies those sudden sugar cravings. Here are three different ways to make peanut butter at home in the easiest ways possible.

2/4

Peanut butter

The most basic yet the tastiest variety is the good old peanut butter, whose creamy texture leaves you craving for more.

Ingredients required- 2 cups of peanuts, 2 tbsp honey and ½ tsp salt.

Steps-

  • Start by roasting the peanuts in a pan, until golden brown. You can remove the peanut skin if you wish to.
  • Now let them cool down a bit and transfer to a grinder or a food processor. Turn on the grinder and let it run for 30 seconds. Repeat the process twice.
  • Add 2 tbsp honey and ½ tsp salt in it. Now grind again in batches, each of 20-30 seconds.
  • Check the consistency of your peanut butter, add 1 tsp oil if you want it more creamy.
  • Store in an airtight jar and you are good to go.
3/4

Almond peanut butter

If you like your peanut butter crunchy, then this nutty variant is ideal for you. Filled with the goodness of almonds, it will give an extra crunch to your homemade peanut butter.

Ingredients required- 1 cup peanuts, 1 cup almonds, 2 tbsp honey and a pinch of salt.

Steps-

  • Roast peanuts and almonds separately for just a few minutes.
  • Grind peanuts in a grinder in batches. Add honey and salt and grind again a few times.
  • Add almonds and grind again.
  • To keep the butter crunchy, grind for just 1-2 times. This way almond pieces will remain in the butter and give a nice texture to your butter as well.
  • You can add 1 tsp oil as well, according to the consistency of the peanut butter (optional).
4/4

Chocolate peanut butter

Everything's better with chocolate, right? Add some extra flavour to your peanut butter by making this choco filled variant. Either spread it on your bread or just eat it with a spoon, chocolate peanut butter tastes absolutely amazing.

Ingredients required- 2 cups of peanut, ½ cup cocoa powder, ½ cup sugar and a pinch of salt.

Steps-

  • Firstly roast the peanuts, let them cool down and grind in a grinder.
  • Then add cocoa powder, sugar and salt. Grind in intervals for another few minutes, until the mixture is creamy. (Sugar is added to balance out the bitterness of cocoa)
  • Add a tsp of oil for added consistency.
  • Your chocolate peanut butter is ready!
