Sweet corn makes for an easy-to-treat and versatile ingredient that can be played to make a wide range of snacks. From pakoda to sandwich and tikki to bhel, the options are endless. Here we have curated a list of 10 simple treats that can be made in a jiffy for evening snacking.
Masala Sweet Corn
This is the most simple and popular way, where you simply boil sweet corn, and toss with butter, chaat masala, lemon juice, red chilli powder and finely chopped coriander. Serve hot.
Corn Chaat
This desi version calls for boiled sweet corn, which is layered in a layere and topped with onion, tomato, cucumber, green chilli, lemon and chaat masala. It is then layered with curd, sweet chutney, green chutney, and pomegranate or peanuts along with sev for crunch.
Sweet Corn Tikki
Tikki makes for a filling treat and to make it, you need boiled and mashed corn mixed with potatoes, spices and herbs, which are shaped into tikkis and then shallow-fried into crisp tikkis. They are best served with green chutney and curd.
Corn Cheese Balls
Loved by kids, it is a delectable treat where sweet corn is blended with cheese, herbs and spices, rolled into balls, coated with breadcrumb and flour slurry, which is fried till golden and makes for a cheesy treat.
Spinach and Corn Sandwich
