Which fabrics to wear and avoid in this weather

The hot weather is here, which calls for a wardrobe change. Choosing the right kind of fabrics can make a lot of difference in this weather. Whether you sweat a lot or not, wearing summer-friendly and breathable clothes in this weather is a must. Here's our list of the fabrics you must pick and skip:

2/6

Cotton

The best fabric for this weather is cotton. It is lightweight, soft and easily absorbs heat. Such breathable fabrics allow heat to escape from the body, keeping you cool.

3/6

Linen

This fabric doesn't cling to the skin and dries quickly. It allows the air to pass, keeping your body cool. The only drawback is that this fabric easily gets creases. If you hate the crinkles you can go for a cotton linen blend, which causes fewer wrinkles.

4/6

Khadi

This handspun fabric is skin friendly and a great choice for summers. The organic fabric is very breathable and will keep you cool during the scorching heat.

5/6

Polyester

The one fabric you must avoid in this weather is polyester. The fabric is water resistant which traps the sweat and can be very uncomfortable. The wrinkle-free polyester outfits are best for workout and swimwear.

6/6

Denim

Wearing thick denim jackets, skirts and skinny jeans can be a big no in summer. To avoid the sweaty mess, try to skip skinny jeans with loose-fitted jeans, which are more breathable. For the rest of the pieces, you can go for chambray denim, which is more lightweight and soft for the body
