Two India-inspired chic collections
Designer Karan Raj recently showcased his bridalwear collection named Aagaz, which means ‘beginning’ in Urdu, at a fashion week backed by the Karnataka government in Bangalore recently.
The collection was inspired from old monuments of Agra and Delhi, with Mughal references and was done with pure hand work, intricately designed. Karan says that India is a land of colours, which signifies joy.

Also seen at the event was designer Asif Shah’s vibrant and colourful collection of Indian-wear, which was inspired by the Bhopal carvings from palaces. His red carpet collection was inspired from Italian Mafia showcasing tuxedos and power dressing. The showstopper Asif was the Waahiid Ali Khan, who wore a tuxedo. Waahiid, a serial entrepreneur, has won many awards nationally and internationally for his contribution to Fashion industry.
Bangalore’s fashion guru Prasad Bidapa organised this fashion event which was supported by the and The Karnataka Government had also supported the show.
