The dynamic trio
With Bhutan as her inspiration Babita Malkani’s Boho Chic collection was an ode to monasteries and the architecture of that hilly land.
Hand woven fabrics, geometrics with checks in red, black and white and Sanskrit prints in blue and orange completed the look. It was a rainbow of hues out there with coral, blue, nude, navy, khaki, black, white, yellow, pink and purple on view.
1x1 polls

Accessories included sling bags that made a style statement all of their own. It seemed like a mix-and-match situation with a mix of patterns and fabrics for capri jumpsuits, pleated dhoti dressed, wrap blouses, intricately crafted waist coats and woven belts that snaked around the models.
The pleasant Buddhist music added to the impact. And the showstoppers were Harman Baweja in a sharply cut double breast jacket and billiards ace Pankaj Gupta in an ivory woven Nehru jacket.
Glam slam
Riyaz Gangji of the Libas label presented a collection for men and women, both very relaxed. The men’s wear included linen pants, waistcoats, jackets and lean trousers with controlled embellishments, while the women’s wear comprised glam satin gowns with detailing like pleats, cowl necks, Grecian drapes, cutaway detailing for a rather sexy evening wear line that was shining with diamantes.
The fabrics were textured and weave-centric with chiffon, satin, georgette, linen and cotton in shades that ranged from pastel beige to mint and a hint of purple and coral.

Showstopper Pooja Bedi was shining in an ivory net and satin draped gown sprinkled with sequins and dazzling with a diamante cummerbund.
Heavenly bodies
The Vizyon show from Ayush and Shradha Murarka, titled ‘Celestial Bodies’ was an elegant line inspired by the heavenly bodies of the universe and the galaxies. Pleats and drapes created a style symphony along with layers, zippers, textures in organza, satin, georgette and chiffon.
Bandage dresses, contoured corsets, flowed and structured silhouettes all added to a totally feminine collection. You saw shades of lavender, cream, white, turquoise, vermillion moulded into figure-hugging evening wear with a mix of fabrics from rayon, satin, organza, taffeta and leather.
Multi-layered and draped and shaded with a touch of origami with sharply cut detailing, the collection turned out to be a beautiful offering to a woman.
