Hey, Zeenie baby was there! Yes, Zeenat Aman was the shining and smiling showstopper for designer Riyaz Gangji. It was Raageshwari Loomba, who opened this show on day four of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Week 2010 at Hotel Sahara Star on Monday.
Earlier, dancer-actress Nargis walked as the showstopper for designer Abhishek Dutta. And it was Neetu Chandra who glided down the ramp in a fully encrusted red lehenga with a tiny matching choli and a red tulle embroidered dupatta for Ashima and Leena Singh’s show presented by Jona.Sensational jewellery by Gitanjali was a perfect accessory to this opulent collection. And the finale show on day four belonged to Vikram Phadnis who recreated the bridal glamour of the silver screen with his Nizam collection inspired by the Nizam jewellery from the Gitanjali Group. Vikram splashed them on languid drapes, swirling panels, full circle skirts and subtle shapes in every vivid colour.
Sensational lehengas, sophisticated flowing kurtas, long maxis and stunning saris for the bride were crafted perfectly with intricate embellishments but in a modern trendy style. And the live singing by Kavita Seth and Raja Mushtaq sure added to the overall impact at this show that displayed the designer’s intricate craftsmanship. Yes, the guests were gushing at the sheer grandeur of it all.
