Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna once again managed to win hearts with a collection that was predominantly about their signature greys and blacks. However, the designer duo brought in an element of surprise this time round with the insertion of brighter hues like red and Moroccan blue in the range. There were also burnt oranges, camels and purples that were used as a contrast statement on black and white.
“The collection is inspired from the 60s and we have followed the same style of clean cuts and structured look.
We stuck to black but also used a lot of brighter shades this time,” said Rahul talking about the collection ‘A-maze-ment’ after the show.
“There’re all wearable clothes. We’ve used a lot of metallic work, sequins, laser-cuts and layers,” added Rohit.
With an extensive use of fabrics like silk and wool, there could be seen a perfect autumn/ winter line-up as the designer duo brought in jackets, overcoats, and trousers on the fashion runway. From jackets embellished with sequins to flared pants to knitted fringes, this assortment had it all. The interesting cube designs, fine geometrical lines, and the metallic work on the creations were among the highlights of the show.
Crosshatching patches were creatively placed on grey felts. Sheer layering and see-through surfaces were among the most likable attributes of the collection. “There’s a lot of see- throughness that adds sexyness to it,” said Rahul talking about the creation.
Witnessing the most ‘a-mazing’ palette of fabrics, mediums and colours, the viewers stood mesmerised throughout the show. Designers Manav Gangwani and Manoviraj Khosla were spotted cheering the designer duo during the show.
