Neeta Lulla’s opening show for The Gitanjali Lifestyle Jewellery Extravaganza, of the Lakme Fashion Week Spring Summer 2008 started off with a difference.
But these days with fashion shows coming up with novel ways to highlight the clothes (and in this show’s case the jewellery), this show’s beginning was no different.
Making a rare appearance at fashion week was Chhaya Momaya who said that she was there for Neeta who is a dear friend of hers.
While there were rumours of an ‘unusual’ showstopper closing her show, it was ultimately Neeta along with Chairman — Gitanjali Group, Mehul Choksi who took the ramp.
Most thought that Sandip was one of the invitees, only to be rather pleasantly surprised when he struck up a dance move as the music began to play. He then proceeded to transform the catwalk into a dance floor.
