Namrata Joshipura affirmed her arrival on the fashion runway with a collection that was bold and strong, on Day 3 of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2011.
The designer made a laudable statement with her creations that comprised a dark palette – with blacks, greys and charcoals used as base-colours, blended with teal and orange for contrast.

Dazzling the ramp during Namrata’s show was an assortment of embellished body suits teamed up with overcoats, sheer shirts with printed trousers, stylised tops with high-waisted sequenced trousers, jumpsuits, and heavily sequenced A- line gowns. There could also be seen some interesting feather dresses and boxy jackets.
Nevertheless, the sexiest facet of the show remained the plunging necklines. Exquisite surface embellishments like 3D-felt embroidery, linear disc-like sequins and rectangular felt palettes were the mainstays of this collection. She also used a lot of interesting core-shapes and silhouettes in the creation that was visually strong yet feminine.
