I’m enjoying this phase of life: Gauhar

Gauhar Khan, the former Miss India runner-up, tells PT about her Bollywood dreams. ���There are a few offers I am looking at, but I don���t want to say anything about it right now,��� is all she reveals.
She has recently mentored young girls aspiring to become models on the popular television show Get Gorgeous.And, how did she like it? ���It was a little strange to teach girls who were almost my age, but it was a very good experience. The girls were really nice. There was a lot of excitement and tension engulfing the show,��� she explains.
There are quite a few such television shows for girls who dream of making it big as models. But, do these shows really equip them to step into the glamorous fashion world? ���Anything that gives you a push in the direction that you want to go in is great. These shows provide training which is essential before stepping into modelling, as is the case with any other career. But, the training is not really enough to survive in the fashion world. Your survival there entirely depends on hard work and talent, and you have to make a mark for yourself. It doesn���t matter as much where you stand in the competition,��� asserts Gauhar.
Of late, Gauhar Khan is seen glowing in a new more mature and a very fit avatar. What is the secret? ���It���s because I���ve had two great trainers in the past two years,��� she gushes. She gives utmost importance to fitness, and it shows the instant you look at her. ���I think fitness is very important, so I workout everyday and go swimming,��� states Gauhar.
Though Gauhar grew up in Pune and has her parents��� house here, she doesn���t get more than a couple of opportunities in a year to come visit the city. ���Whenever I come to the city, I like to go visit the school I studied in, Mount Carmel, and meet my teachers. Or I go and visit the few friends that I have here,��� she says excitedly.
When Gauhar is not sashaying down the ramp or posing for shoots or busy with some assignment or the other, she likes to take it easy. ���I���m a big movie buff and I like watching movies in my free time. I also like shopping, spending time with family and eating out,��� she says.
She is always seen impeccably dressed and making a style statement even off the ramp. ���I like dressing up and I don���t underplay,��� admits Gauhar. After which she adds, ���I���m enjoying this phase of my life because I know good things are going to happen to me this year.��� And, given her commitment they surely will.
