Siddhartha Tytler This season, Designer Siddhatha Tytler showcased his collection in dark mood inspired by the after-life. He used fabrics like velvet neoprene, lycra georgettes and techniques of metal hardware, laser cutting for his collection. He also collaborated with famous accessories designer Diego Montoya, who designed heavily embellished masks for the show.
Ashima Leena Designer Leena Singh showcased her Charukesha collection at Amazon India Fashion Week. The collection was inspired by blue pottery and Shiva’s jatadhari edifice that visually reflected in the collection. Overall, the collection was a mix of sculptured skirts, pashmina blouses, tribal gilets and asymmetric kurtas.
Anju Modi This year, the fashion week was all in support of 'Make in India' concept and designer Anju Modi showcased her Neelambar collection of India’s textile heritage. The models were seen wearing Needledust juttis—that were hand crafted in India. While, Dangal fame actress Sakshi Tanwar turned showstopper and added extra charm to the show.
Shivan & Narresh Swimwear designers, Shivan & Narresh redefined the legendary painter Egon Shciele’s work at the show. Their collection was a celebration of his works featuring landscapes, riversides to contorted human figures. ‘’Our designs have largely catered to day lifestyles and this season we moved to the more evening & opulent part of holidays & destination weddings. Hence, the details & surfaces became key to the collection,’’ said Shivan Bhatiya in a statement.
Malini Ramani Designer, Malini Ramani showcased her collection Nomad which was bold and tribal. The collection was a mix of bohemian vibes with embroidered capes, block printed dresses, kaftans and saris.
Wendell Rodricks Schulen Fernandes, creative head for Wendell Rodricks showcased The Cubist Rose collection at AIFW. This is her second collection and this year, it celebrated the rose in a cubist avatar. It was in hues of reds, oranges, pinks and teal green, nude. The collection interpreted rose in various forms of layering, design techniques and flowing fabrics.
