A royal touch
Rajdeep Ranawat presented his collection of long floral skirts and see-through blouses, cropped pants and printed jackets and tops with a hint of crystals. Be it dhoti pants, dresses or jackets, prints like bandhani and those inspired by Mughal motifs were common in the outfits. The designer, who made his debut at DTFW this season, said that he couldn’t be happier with the experience. “The Delhi Times Fashion Week is a great platform for designers and this season has some amazing lineup of designers. It is my first time and I couldn’t be happier,” he said. Shivani Jadhav, fbb Colors Femina Miss Grand India 2019, was the showstopper and looked stunning in a red shirt and printed lehenga.

High-street glam on the ramp
Marks & Spencer showcased its latest Autumn collection with a mix of formal and casual wear for both men and women. Blazers and hip-length formal jackets were quite a hit among guests in womenswear. The men’s collection was sharp and structured with a few casual looks. Shibani Dandekar and Mr World 2016 Rohit Khandelwal were the showstoppers. “DTFW is always full of fun, drama and fashion. It was amazing to be here. I loved the collection and especially the outfit I am wearing,” said Shibani. Rohit added, “It was a fantastic show. The music, the people and the energy of shows here is electrifying.”

Boho chic divas
Niki Mahajan opened Day 2 of the Delhi Times Fashion Week, showcasing a flowy and easy-to-wear line. “It is always great to be a part of DTFW. My collection is block printed entirely by hand. The kind of resist block printing that I do is almost extinct now and I really don’t know when I will be able to make a collection like this again. So I am going to archive all this,” the designer said, stressing that each piece that was put on the ramp was unique and could not be replicated.

Fusion-istic fashion
The final show of Day 2 by Siddartha Tytler, presented by Rosewalk Hospital, was indeed the most interesting show of the day with doctors walking the ramp with models. “This was our couture collection and an update to old techniques of embroidery. We had artisans from Kashmir to do hand embroidery and we also had Parsi embroidery. It’s been a dream to put together this show for DTFW,” said the designer. Abrarali Dalal, Director, Rosewalk, said, “It was outstanding to be a part of this concept show at DTFW. We at Rosewalk believe that even expecting women should be able to look stylish and fashionable and that is why we collaborated with Siddartha Tytler to do a show here.”

Dr Ramesh Kancharla, Chairman, Rosewalk, added, “Our association with DTFW has been amazing. We were very excited about the idea of making models walk the ramp with baby bumps.”
