Chic, glam line makes a mark on the ramp this season

Young and vibrant feminine silhouettes, blended with traces of modern androgyny marked Karn Malhotra's pret line The Siren Squad at the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016. Monochromes, colour blocks in pink, green and purple, stripes and sequins dazzled on the ramp. The rompers, bodysuits, crop tops, cocktail and maxi dresses to jackets crafted in crepe, scuba lycra and poly blends, had an oh-so-chic appeal.

The designer, inspired by the fierce and fearless young woman of today , created a line that represents the ideas, perspectives and attitudes of present times. The show began with Anushka Ranjan in a crisp white shirt and stylish pink pants. The look represented the range of day and sundowner wear.

Ravishing Amy Jackson closed the show on a peppy and sexy note, in a monochrome ensemble with stripes and bling on the bodice.

The front row had Jhataleka Malhotra (Miss International India 2014), Gail Da' Silva (Miss United Continents 1st runner up 2014), Srishti Rana (Miss Asia Pacific 2013) and celebrity guests Anu Ranjan, Nisha JamVwal, Rashmi Uday Singh and Mahaakshay Chakraborty enjoying the show.
