Bridal splendour

Stunning creations by Rocky S made a glittering impact at Aamby Valley India Bridal Week 2011, at Sahara Star.
His wedding trousseau line had an assortment of hand-crafted dresses, lehengas, kurtas and churidars for the bride, while for the groom, he designed Indo-Western garments. The show stopper was Ameesha Patel, who wore a jade green georgette lehenga with a broad gold border and matching choli teamed with a red dupatta that made the audience applaud with appreciation.
Vikram Phadnis created a blend of heritage touches with a mix of perfect urban influences for his collection. Moving away from convention, Vikram had Neil Nitin Mukesh as the showstopper for his all-women bridal wear line. Neil walked down the ramp in a brown and black brocade sherwani as the audience gave him a round of applause. Playing proud hosts were Vijay Singh, CEO, India Bridal Week, and Vivek Kumar, CEO, Hotel Sahara Star and Aamby Valley City.
Shama Sikander was spotted at Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor’s show. Also present were Juhi Chawla, Aashish Chaudhary, Sophie Choudry, Hrishant Goswami, Salim Merchant, Krishika Lulla, Preeti Jhangiani, Lucky Morani, Falguni and Sushil Jhaveri and Manjari Phadnis.
The line-up today includes JONA by Jyotsna Tiwari followed by Pallavi Jaikishan’s show.
