Blondes get preference, says Ekta's mom
Miss India Universe Ekta Choudhry may have failed to make it to the Top 15 at the Miss Universe 2009 contest, but her parents remain proud of her as she put in her best.
Says her mother Rita Choudhry, ���She put in her best and it���s just destiny that she couldn���t make it to the list of finalists. It���s a very tough competition and we had told Ekta for any outcome.���
While Ekta just performed on stage, looking stunning in a swimsuit, her mother has been glued to the television since the pageant telecast began at 6.30 am on Star World. A little disappointed, she says, ���Maybe Ekta was not destined to win the crown. God has planned something else for her.���
She added, ���Ekta shouldn���t get disappointed with this, it���s not an easy thing to reach this far.���
When we asked her if she thinks Ekta would be able to grab any other title, Ekta���s mother replied, ���We hope so, let���s see what happens.���
