At New York Fashion Week, Wes Gordon showcased his Fall 2025 collection for Carolina Herrera in an unforgettable setting atop a skyscraper, captivating an eager crowd with a stunning 360-degree view of the city. Held on the 48th floor, the venue featured floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a breathtaking backdrop of blue skies and the bustling New York skyline. The runway was adorned with 3,000 rich burgundy ranunculus flowers, complementing the mood as Gordon's “personal assortment of songs” played, including the classic “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac.

Having taken over as the creative director of Carolina Herrera in 2018, Gordon, 38, brought his own bold vision to the Fall 2025 collection. The 66 looks presented ranged from ultrafeminine tweed mini dresses to sharp, masculine-inspired tailored trousers and blazers. His collection was diverse, blending delicate floral lace sets with embroidered, nearly sheer gowns, many of which were accessorized with gold buttons, earrings, or rose appliqués.

The grand finale of the show featured Gordon's favorite piece, a dramatic cape paired with a black silk faille dress adorned with black jewel macramé details. This showstopper perfectly encapsulated the collection's bold yet romantic spirit.
Gordon revealed that the inspiration behind the collection stemmed from his all-time favorite book and movie, 'Being There', a 1979 film starring Peter Sellers and Shirley MacLaine. He explained to The Associated Press that the film's poetic, romantic atmosphere mirrored the essence he wanted to capture in his designs. The timing also held significance, as the story of 'Being There' aligns with the founding of Carolina Herrera in 1979.
