The second day of the Lakme Fashion Week saw Jelin George, who showed for the second time as she created a stylish fairy-tale collection with luxurious silhouettes. The sisters Pam and Arch London showcased a prêt line that was feminine and sexy. Interesting prints in graphic geometric forms, exploded into a psychedelic rainbow over the ensembles. Sabbah Sharma’s collection ‘Tempestivitas’ was a series of pretty dresses, sleek pants and shorts, exciting skirts and smart jackets with controlled glitter.

Preeti Desai in a swirling blue long skirt over a short dress added some glam quotient.The second show began with Jatin Varma’s collection ‘Gelato’ and the sorbet colours, light fabric textures, and delightful drapes were his strong point. He created the most feminine drapes and discreet volumes for the skirts which ranged from slim to full flare in soft sensuous silk, organza and taffeta.
Vivek Karunakaran’s show was about soft fluid shapes blended effortlessly with rectangular silhouettes as hemlines overlapped seductively and colour blocking added a new found symmetry.
This season again saw the audience applauding the sensational headgear and accessories by Little Shilpa. Inspired by the 19th century book of poems titled Fleurs Du Mal (Flowers of Evil) by Charles Baudelaire, Little Shilpa showed seven intricate designs with floral motifs.
Masaba’s show reflected the beauty of her culture and heritage. Inspired by the Masai Tribe, Masaba’s colour choice was daring and worked around the spectrum of hues as she drowned her creativity in the tones and dreamt up creations for the universal woman. Shrivan and Narresh showed a timeless holiday collection, all about a relaxed colour palette. The Energie show had a burst of colours with showstopper Kunal Kapoor.
