Beyoncé walked away with the top award of the night: Fashion Icon of 2016 Tonight, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) paid tribute to the winners and honorees of the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. In a surprise moment on stage, Beyoncé was presented the Fashion Icon award by CFDA Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg.

"Tonight, we have come together to honor the best and brightest talents and bring recognition to all of American fashion. We would like to thank Nadja Swarovski and Swarovski for fifteen years of a collaboration that continues to guide and inspire us," said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA.
