INIFD Fashion Design students Kavita Sharma and Asaboy Kazingmei have been selected as Gen next Designers for the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/ Festive 2012.
The Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) has always encouraged new talent and this season two young undergraduates have been selected to showcase their works as the Gen Next designers.
Fashion design institute, InterNational Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD), has entered into the seventh season of a continuous collaboration as an ‘Official Knowledge Partner’ to one of our country’s biggest fashion and trade event, the LFW.

Khosla said INIFD Fashion Design students Kavita Sharma and Asaboy Kazingmei have been selected as Gen next Designers for the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/ Festive 2012 and will be presenting their collection at Lakme Fashion Week on August 3, 2012 along with the other national and international designers.
Lakmé Fashion Week Winter /Festive 2012 will be held from 3rd – 7th August, 2012 at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Lakme Fashion Week has been the first in acknowledging the importance of a fashion institute - Lakme Fashion Week has partnered with INIFD the largest design institute globally to add a fresh perspective to this dynamically changing industry and space.

INIFD has been imparting knowledge to over two lakh students all across India in the last 18 years, and has striven hard to take fashion education to masses and providing quality education.
INIFD will also present the Fashion Workshop Series VII – Styling, for media, designers, celebrities and buyers. INIFD is the first educational institute in the world to completely digitise education with the INIFD Design Pad which changed the learning landscape for thousands of students across INIFD centres. This first of its kind initiative not just digitized the entire curriculum but opened a plethora of avenues for students to gain from the web world.
Khosla further added, “Journey of INIFD at Lakme Fashion Week has been a pleasant one from the first leg of association with Masaba Gupta, winning the ‘INIFD Most Promising Designer Award’. Seven INIFD Designers Kavita Sharma, Asaboy Kazingmei, Manoj Kumar, Vinod Bhardwaj, Sukhwant Bhuttar, Aastha Sharma, Sabah Khan have made it to shows here.
