Textile Day celebrations at Lakme Fashion Week

Good news is that all the designers who are participating today will present unique collections that celebrate Indian weaves and crafts.
Designer Krishna Mehta is happy to have curated the inaugural Textile Day. She says, “Through a fine mix of designer shows, workshops, panel talks and installations, this day will be a step forward in bringing all our initiatives together to create a strong platform for Indian textiles and promoting our rich heritage.”
One of the most anticipated panel discussions today will be on the resurgence of Indian weaves and crafts.Here, fashionistas can interact with designers like Bibhu Mohapatra, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Darshan Shah and Praful Shah. Later, Bibhu will speak on what it means to be an Indian designer on the world fashion map today.
