Fashion designer Urvashi Kaur is ready with her Spring/Summer 2011 collection already. The spirit of her fashion brand, Shibumi, takes the form of sabi, originating from Japanese art. Retaining the essence of Japanese tradition and creativity, Urvashi’s Spring/Summer ’11 collection exudes understated perfection in its purest form. She captures the precious moments of wonder and romance, merging the tangible with the intangible.
The splendour and iconic beauty is manifested through the use of Indian fabrics and technique. The line exudes subtle opulence and an eternal aura. Retaining delicate fluidity, the garments reflect elements of bashfulness and femininity. Sheer and suave silhouettes are layered together to define an alluring look. A dreamy colour palette of pastel hues lends credence to the romantic feel of this collection. Muted shades like blush pink, nude, pale blue, lemon and lavender liven up against the dust gold, silver shimmer and metallic shades.
Along with the use of lame georgettes and satins, a luminous and sheer effect is depicted through the use of tulle and chiffons.
