No Holi for Gudda

It’s been a week since Gudda suffered a heart attack and to when he got admitted in the ICU at the Medanta Medicity, Gurgaon. But while the doctors have been confirming positive health reports after the designer underwent angioplasty, he continues to be in the intensive care unit.
Aruna Bal, Gudda’s sister, spoke to us over the phone: “Gudda’s very stable.Doctors are happy with his recovery. But having said that, docs have kept him in the ICU still. And we haven’t asked them till when he is likely to stay there.”
Ask Dr Praveen Chandra, chairman of interventional cardiology, at Medanta, about this and he says, “I think we’ll need another two-three days before we shift Rohit out of the ICU. But otherwise he’s doing good. Another good sign of recovery is that, from soft diet he’s moved to normal diet.”
Meanwhile, on personal and family front, with Holi just gone by, ask Aruna how was it like this year and she shares, “Rohit’s very fond of Holi and he used to play it every year. In fact, we all used to play it together. But this year, since he’s in the hospital, we were all here by his side. So we didn’t really miss playing Holi this time. For obviously Rohit is anyday more important for us than celebrating festivals.”
