Gujarat's embroidery work inspires designer

From the stunning Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone to the elegant Tabu, Ashley Rebello has dressed them all in Hindi films. Says Rebello, “I loved working with MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar. I felt happy when Niharika (Khan) won the National Award for her costumes in The Dirty Picture.”
Rebello, who was in Vadodara for an event, says, “Gujarat’s embroidery and mirror work really inspires me.”
When asked about designing for Mallika Sherawat.“Kam kapda hota hai toh designing becomes more difficult, as you don’t know how much or how less is enough!” he quips. His upcoming projects include Dabangg 2 and Ek Tha Tiger. He says, “I have tried to break myths through my works. It’s rubbish to say that guys don’t look good in pink shirts.”
On a parting note, he says, “It’s important to start small, think big and never lose heart.”
