'Gudda's as normal as can be'
It’s been a li’l over than a month since designer Rohit Bal was relieved from the hospital, post the heart attack he suffered in late Feburary this year. But while news and updates on him were galore for the time Gudda was in the hospital, he almost suddenly went off news, we’re guessing consciously, as soon as he made it back to his house...
Not to mention, Gudda was also conspicuous by his absence at the recently ended WIFW’10.

With other problems in place, the event seemed a tad thanda with even Gudda missing from the scene, who had otherwise hosted the Grand Finale in the last season of WIFW’09, and need we say, with aplomb!
So for all those who’ve been missing Gudda, here’s what we heard of the designer as he sits back home still recovering from health problems.
“Gudda’s absolutely fine. His life at home these days is as normal as can be. He eats everything, reads, listens to music. Just that he’s been avoiding his work travel still as suggested by his doctors. But that doesn’t stop him from doing his designing and sketching work from home,” reveals Aruna Bal, Rohit’s sis.
But then doesn’t it get too much for him, spending his entire days at home? “Oh, he’s moving from the house from time to time. Like, he goes for walks everyday, a little shopping sometimes or to the salon for his hair cuts or visiting the doctors whenever they call him. I guess, for sometime his movement will be restricted and it will do him good. It’s only the work travels that are long distance or stressful that he’s keeping on hold. I think it would take another two weeks or so, before he gets on with this regular work and travel.”

As for visiting friends and family, “we save him that stress too,” Aruna continues. “The point is that we have to meet, so instead of making him take the trouble of coming down to us, we pay him a visit.”
