Gudda out of the ICU
After a long stay in the ICU Gudda has finally been moved out of the intensive care unit to a private ward. And need we say, now the family’s only counting days as to when Rohit will be relieved from the hospital and be back home with them.
To which doctors are only saying, ‘In a few days’ time.’ Dr Naresh Trehan, cardiothoracic surgeon at Medanta Medicity, who’s attending on Rohit, confirming the news said, “Yes, seeing Rohit Bal’s improved condition, there was no need for him in the ICU any longer.

So he has now been moved to a private ward, where he’s getting good care too. Hopefully in just about a few days’ time we should be ready to discharge him.”
But even while Gudda is in the private ward, there are a few who are getting to meet him still. Says Dr Trehan, “See, there are certain rules of the hospital and everybody’s bound to follow them. The hospital has specific meeting hours, so people visiting him during those hours are meeting him – which is mostly family.”
Meanwhile, Aruna Bal, Gudda’s sister, sounding happy over the phone about Rohit’s visible improvement in health, said, “Gudda’s much improved now and that’s the reason doctors have shifted him to the private ward. We’ve not asked them about when they plan to relieve him, but as and when they feel fit, they will.”
So now that Gudda’s in the private ward, are friends pouring in to wish and meet him in person? “Oh not at all! He’s still not allowed to meet too many people. He’s resting and that’s what he needs the most right now. So it’s just his family that’s around him. We too don’t disturb him much. Rest keep calling to enquire about his health and wish him good.”
